Classical Music and Christmas Carol Concert at the Romanian Orthodox Parish in Vienna

A Classical Music and Christmas Carol Concert was held at the Romanian Orthodox Church of St Anthony in Vienna on Sunday, 13 December 2015. The musicians Tudor Andrei, Teofil Todica, Adrian Stanciu and Konstantin Zelenin enchanted the audience with the musical pieces interpreted, on the occasion of the Nativity of the Lord.

“Starting with Mozart, Händel and Bach, and concluding with Oh, what wonderful tidings! [TN: a well-known Romanian traditional Christmas carol], by their virtuosity, the quartet impressed the numerous Austrian and Romanian guests present at the Concert”, Rev. Fr Ioan Moga noted.

In his speech at the end of the concert, Fr Ioan Moga emphasized the connection between the Church and culture, as well as the fact that the 120-years-old St Anthony Church has a musical tradition that deserves to be continued. He also thanked the first violinist Mr Tudor Andrei, a spiritual son of the parish, for supporting this project, but also for the musical education he conveys to the children and young people of the parish.
