His Eminence Ioachim, Archbishop of Roman and Bacău, has officiated this morning, 18 February 2016, the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest, surrounded by an assembly of priests and deacons of the Eparchy of Roman and Bacău. His Eminence is currently undertaking a pilgrimage in Bucharest along with clergymen and young people of the six deaneries of the Archdiocese. The Divine Liturgy officiated at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest was the starting point of the pilgrimage.
The Ierotheos Priest Choir of the Oneşti Deanery offered the liturgical responses.
During the koinonikon (communion chant moment), three children choires from Bacău have interpreted different religious chants.
“After the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence, together with the priests and the young people from the Archdiocese will visit: the Publishing House of the Romanian Patriarchate, the Library of the Holy Synod, St Anthimos Monastery, Cernica Monastery, and the construction site of the new National Cathedral”, the cultural adviser of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău, Fr. Valentin Băltoi, reported.
The pilgrimage is being undertaken in the context of the year 2016 as a Solemn Year of the Religious Education of the Christian Orthodox Youth and a Commemorative Year of Saint Hieromartyr Anthimos the Ivirite and of the Church Typographers in the Romanian Patriarchate.
