From 2 – 5 October 2013 the International Congress of Theology on the theme Reception of the work of Father Dumitru Staniloae Today is held at the Patriarchate Palace at the initiative and with the blessing of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
Today, 4 October 2013, it is the second day of the international congress of theology dedicated to Dumitru Staniloae. The 5th session held in Conventus Hall had Rev Univ. Prof Dr Dumitru Meghesan as moderator, and it presented the lectures of Rev Marc-Antoine Costa de Beauregard (Christ, the Supreme Hypostases of the created hypostases, at Father Staniloae), Prof. Dr. Serghei Chiursanov (The Trinitarian principle of unity in diversity in the theology of father Dumitru Staniloae in the context of the Orthodox theological anthropology), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Adrian Niculcea (Personalism at Father Staniloae – significance and topicality), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Gheorghe Holbea (“Patristica restautatio” in the work of Father Staniloae), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Ioan Tulcan (Theology and theologians in the view of Father Staniloae and its reception in the Romanian contemporary theology), Mr. Costion Nicolescu (Reception of Father Staniloae in the laic culture).
The moderator of the 6th session was Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Viorel Ionita, and the lectures were delivered by Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Valer Bel (Confession theology of Father Staniloae and its reception today), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Sterea Tache (Cosmological contribution of Father Staniloae and its reception in the Romanian theology), Univ. Lecturer Dr. Adrian Nicolae Lemeni (Apologetic contributions in the work of Father Staniloae and their reception in the academic theology), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. (Eschatology of Father Staniloae and its reception in the Romanian theology), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Vasile Stanciu (Theology of the church music in the work of Father Staniloae), Rev. Prof. Bogoslovski (Analysis of the oral legacy of father Dumitru Staniloae.
Session VIII was moderated by Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Ioan Tulcan, and the lectures were delivered by Em. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Moltmann (Father Dumitru Staniloae in ecumenical context – lecture delivered by Rev. Prof. Dr. Viorel Ionita), Prof. Dr. Daniel Munteanu (Influence of the theology of Father Dumitru Stanilaoe over the Trinitarian theology of Jürgen Moltmann), Univ. Lect. Dr. Vasile Cristescu (Anthropology and Christology of Father Staniloae in dialogue with the Western theology – Wolfhart Pannenberg), Rev. Univ. Lect. Dr. Sorin Selaru (Contribution of Father Staniloae to the official dialogue between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Constantin Patuleanu (Contribution of Father Staniloae to the official dialogue between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Evangelical Church of Germany), Rev. Univ. Prof. Dr. Aurel Pavel (Father Staniloae – theological and missionary principles).
The last session held in Conventus Hall too had Rev Univ. Prof. Dr. Stefan Buchiu as moderator. Univ. Prof. Dr. Cristinel Ioja (Father Staniloae, creation and restoration in the Orthodox theology. Reception of his thought in the Romanian contemporary culture), Rev. Lecturer Univ. Dr. Nicolae Mosoiu (Shape of the church; mystic perspective of Father Staniloae over the ecclesiology and the importance of its reception in the present context) were those who delivered the last lectures of the congress.
Hierarchs, people of culture and theology professors from the country and abroad (Germany, France, United States of America, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia) who know and promote the theology of Father Dumitru Staniloae in countries they come from delivered lectures for two days time.
