May 1867 – Priest and historian NICOALE TINCU-VELIA passed away in
Vârșeț, Serbia. Gymnasium studies at Oravița and Seghedin, Tehological
Seminary in Vârșeț (1835 – 1837). Priest in Secaș (county of
Caraș-Severin). Consistory secretary and professor at the Romanian
section of the Seminary of Vârșeț (1839 – 1860), consistorial “assessor”
and professor at the Romanian section of the Seminary of Vârșeț (1865 –
1867). He militated for the autonomy of the Romanian Church in Banat,
dependent on the Serb one.
