Today, 19 December 2014, several groups of carollers from various parts of the country were received at the Patriarchal Residence.<\/p>\n
The group of carollers of \u201cAnastasia Popescu\u201d Orthodox Secondary School \u2013 Bucharest<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The first group was that of \u201cAnastasia Popescu\u201d Orthodox Secondary School \u2013 Bucharest received by His Grace Ieronim Sinaitul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch. The 20 children sang traditional carols, having been blessed in the end and given presents on behalf of His Grace Ieronim Sinaitul.<\/p>\n \u201cWe congratulate you on behalf of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel and convey you our blessings and may the joy of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, rendered in carols and in other beautiful manifestations of the celebration in the church, in the sermons, complete and continue the angels\u2019 message!\u201d, His Grace said.<\/p>\n \u201cStrajancuta\u201d Folk group from Straja commune, county of Suceava<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Then, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania met \u201cStrajancuta\u201d folk group of the \u201cBirth of the Mother of God\u201d from Straja commune, county of Suceava. The group of carollers announced the Nativity of the Lord through chants typical for the region.<\/p>\n To end with, the Patriarch of Romania appreciated the beauty of the carols and of the national costumes of Bucovina: \u201cThank you very much for these beautiful carols and we congratulate you for the national costumes of Bucovina region which you keep with much faithfulness. These traditional carols are enriched in Bucovina, every year something new is added to them, which means that the people are creative, bringing about aspects of the light and joy of the feast of the Nativity of the Lord.<\/p>\n We wish you many blessed years of life, and may you celebrate the feast of the Nativity of Lord, the New Year, and the Baptism of the Lord with peace and joy, in good health for many blessed years!\u201d<\/p>\n Group of children of Brosteni parish, deanery of Sibiu<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel was also carolled by the group of children of Brosteni parish, deanery of Sibiu. The children sang several carols typical for the season. To end with, they received presents and were blessed by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.<\/p>\n \u201cWe congratulate you, and wish you good health, joy and blessed feasts!
