On the 6th Sunday after Easter, when the miraculous healing of the blind born man is mentioned, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral by His Grace Ieronim Sinaitul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, assisted by a group of priests and deacons.<\/p>\n
The hierarch delivered a sermon in which he emphasised both the exegesis of the evangelical pericope according to John and the importance of the spiritual light that the faithful must get through the faith working in love. The hierarch has also underlined the importance of the good deeds for strengthening the faith of every Christian faithful: \u201cThis light is shown in the water of the Baptism and it is with this bright clothing that wraps our soul as children of God through grace that we start the journey of our life in the world, a journey focused not on a final purpose after many achievements in our life, but on a journey illuminated by Christ to eternity. This is why it is very important for us as children of the Baptism and of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, to receive and keep this light in our souls, light of the knowledge of God on one hand, which is the light of faith too, and have spiritual light too, on the other hand, which is the guiding light that helps us identify all the spirits in our life which help us solve whatever we are faced with\u201d.<\/p>\n
