Today, 7 June 2015, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church awarded, at the Patriarchal Residence, the winners the \u201eReligious Education\u201d National Didactic Materials Contest \u2013 tradition and topicality. <\/p>\n
His Beatitude delivered a congratulatory speech in which he thanked the winners for their involvement in the education of the youth: \u201cWe congratulate you for this special work, first of all for your participation in the contest, and secondly for the prizes won. The national contest of didactic material for religious education gave good results and we hope that after this contest the didactic materials will be improved. We are also glad that we shall be able to bring more joy to children and to their parents, mostly because today it is the Sunday and parents and children that the Holy Synod established as day dedicated to parents and children after 1 June. Since the Child\u2019s International Day presents only the child, we wished to have a Sunday of the parents and children which means gratitude to God for the gift to have children and gratitude of the children to have parents, and most of all good parents\u201d. <\/p>\n
The \u201eReligious Education\u201d National Didactic Materials Contest \u2013 tradition and topicality \u2013 edition I (2015) was organised, with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel and approval of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, by the Theological Educational Department of the Patriarchal Administration, from 2 February \u2013 7 June 2015. <\/p>\n
The general purpose of the contest was to develop a competitive context, at national level, for working out didactical materials for the Religion class.
