The winners received the awards from the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, after the Divine Liturgy celebrated on the occasion of the <em>historical patronal feast of the Patriarchal Cathedral. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>This year the sections were the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Painting on wood (tempera, Br\u00e2ncoveanu style)<\/li>\n<li>Painting on glass (tempera, Romanian traditional style)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The meeting of the commission analysing the works enrolled in the contest was held on 21 April 2016, at <em>Saint Constantine and Helen <\/em>Centre for Patrimony in Bucharest.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, the opening of the <em>Orthodox Icon \u2013 Light of the Faith <\/em>exhibition was held.
