On the 6th<\/sup> Sunday after Easter (5 June 2016) His Grace Timotei of Prahova, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Radu Vod\u0103 Monastery in Bucharest.<\/p>\n

His Grace underlined in the sermon delivered that, although this Sunday is called the Sunday of the Blind Man, <\/em>it can also be called the Sunday of Light <\/em>because Jesus Christ, our Lord, is the one who gives the<\/em> Light. <\/em><\/p>\n

The hierarch has also mentioned that there are lots of humans who cannot see with the eyes of the body, but with the eyes of the soul wide open. There are also some others who can see with their physical eyes, but the eyes of their mind are blind.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe world remained in darkness, although it is light in the streets of the city, because the world is no longer willing to follow Christ, our Saviour, who is the Light\u201d, the Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest said.<\/em><\/p>\n

Radu Vod\u0103 Monastery was built by Prince Alexandru II Mircea (1568\u20131577) and his wife Ecaterina for thanking God who gave him the victory in the fight he fought in this part of the world against Vintil\u0103 Vornicul and Dumbrav\u0103 Vornicul (village chief).<\/p>\n
