At that time, five boxes for collecting things were placed in the five districts of the capital city of the Republic of Moldova and the people were urged to support the project donating clothes, footwear, bedclothes and other useful things. The first results show an amount of about 3,5 tons of things donated.<\/p>\n<p><em>All these things will come to a second life in the hands of those who need support, <\/em>Ludmila Popescu, responsible with the press within Diaconia Social Mission department, said.<\/p>\n<p>We have not expected such mobilisation of people. The time of the boxes emptying will be established according to the amount and periodical donations, but for the time being we ask everybody to help us with this common effort of solidarity. We invite you to be part of this process, so that when you see the box full do not let the bags near the box, but come back when it is empty. We expect most donations during the week, from Monday to Friday, because we better and more efficiently succeed in mobilising our resources during the week days \u2013 Igor Belei, director of Diaconia Social Mission, said.<\/p>\n<p>1,460 kg of clothes have been distributed so far as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social wardrobe in the parishes of the Metropolitanate of Bessarabia: Ucrainca \u2013 315 de kg, Clim\u0103u\u0163i \u2013 164 de kg, Fete\u015fti \u2013 159 de kg, Co\u015fcalia \u2013 159 de kg, Pojoreni \u2013 165 kg;<\/li>\n<li>Families and persons assisted through \u201cIn mother\u2019s arms\u201d Centre of Consultation \u2013 77 kg;<\/li>\n<li>Partner social organisations: <em>Regina Pacis<\/em> Foundation \u2013 175 kg, Accommodation centre of the persons with no stable dwelling place \u2013 246 kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*<\/p>\n<p>Rules for donating within the \u201cClothes bank\u201d campaign:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Things must be in good condition, washed and arranged;<\/li>\n<li>All donations, toys including, must be put in bags.
