His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel performed Sunday, 11 June 2017, the blessing service of a memorial cross and the museum dedicated to the members of the spiritual movement The Burning Bush<\/em>. His Grace Bishop Varlaam of Ploie\u0219ti attended the service.<\/p>\n

In his homily, the patriarch reflected on the activities of the Burning Bush Movement and stressed the need to honour more attentively and intensively the memory of the confessors and defenders of Orthodoxy. Referring to the members of the Burning Bush Movement, His Beatitude noted that many of them went through communist prisons and some even have died in jail. Others came out of prison and professed the faith, such as Father Sofian Boghiu, Father Dumitru Staniloae and others.<\/em><\/p>\n
