{"id":178707,"date":"2017-10-12T17:54:13","date_gmt":"2017-10-12T14:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=178707\/"},"modified":"2017-10-12T17:54:13","modified_gmt":"2017-10-12T14:54:13","slug":"german-ambassador-to-bucharest-pays-presentation-visit-to-the-romanian-patriarchate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.basilica.ro\/en\/german-ambassador-to-bucharest-pays-presentation-visit-to-the-romanian-patriarchate\/","title":{"rendered":"German Ambassador to Bucharest pays presentation visit to the Romanian Patriarchate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, 12 October 2017, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel welcomed at his patriarchal residence His Excellency Cord Meier-Klodt, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador thanked for the honourable reception and appreciated the important and balanced role played by the Orthodox Church in Romanian society.<\/p>\n<p>His Excellency believes that the important events of the last period have demonstrated that the European Union is not a given fact, but rather a process that needs to be supported. At the same time, he expressed his willingness to be a close partner of Romania in endeavours that can emphasise the stability of the European project.<\/p>\n<p>His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel congratulated the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bucharest and wished him to carry out successfully his diplomatic mission in Romania.
