His Eminence Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina, will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and lead the Rite of Enthronement at the Diocesan Cathedral of Hu\u0219i.<\/h4>\n<p>Being the 52<sup>nd<\/sup> Bishop of Hu\u0219i, His Grace Ignatie was canonically <a href=\"http:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/holy-synod-elects-new-bishop-of-husi\/\">elected<\/a> by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church during its working session on Oct. 5. Bishop Ignatie succeeds Bishop Corneliu, who retired at the beginning of August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The jurisdiction of the Hu\u0219i Diocese covers Vaslui County, being a province of the Holy Metropolis of Moldavia and Bukovina. The Diocese of Hu\u0219i was founded in 1598, operating until the arrival of the communist regime in Romania.
