the Honourable Forerunner, St John the Baptist, on Mount Athos, led Wednesday the All-night Vigil service in honour of the Prodromitissa Icon of the Mother of God at the National Cathedral\u2019s Chapel in Bucharest.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Ftrinitastv%2Fvideos%2F907170886134242%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The service was held with the chorostasia of Elder Prodromos Lavriotes, the abbot of the Great Lavra, the first monastery established on Mount Athos, and to which the Romanian coenobitic Skete of St John the Forerunner belongs.<\/p>\n<p>The chapel built close to the construction site of the Romanian People\u2019s Salvation Cathedral has three patronal feasts including the Resurrection of the Lord, the feast of the Prodromitissa Icon of the Mother of God, celebrated on July 12, and the feast of Saint John Chrysostom (November 13).<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s celebrations were opened Wednesday, July 11, by a <a href=\"http:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/video-byzantine-choir-tronos-opens-celebrations-of-national-cathedrals-chapel-with-special-concert\/\">Byzantine music concert<\/a> held by the Tronos choir of the Romanian Patriarchate.<\/p>\n<p>After the concert, the clergy and believers carried the holy icon in procession around the chapel, with litanies being uttered and the troparion of the Mother of God Prodromitissa being chanted.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\"
