The works at the mosaic iconostasis of the Romanian People\u2019s Salvation Cathedral will be completed by November 1, Trinitas TV reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Romanian Patriarchate\u2019s Church Painting Committee analysed Friday the stage of the works at the Cathedral\u2019s iconostasis and announced their completion within one month.<\/p>\n

Artists began applying mosaic icons on the iconostasis at the end of June 2018.<\/p>\n

The mosaic covers almost 408 m2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The mosaic-covered iconostasis will be blessed at the National Cathedral\u2019s consecration ceremony that will be led by His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on November 25.<\/p>\n

\u2018There will be a total of 45 icons on four rubrics,\u2019 patriarchal adviser Vasile Cracaoanu said.<\/p>\n

The National Cathedral, to be dedicated to the Ascension of Christ and St. Andrew, is popularly known as the People\u2019s Salvation Cathedral.<\/p>\n

It will be the patriarchal cathedral for the Romanian Orthodox Church and the tallest Orthodox Church in the world (433 ft. high).<\/p>\n

The new church is designed to hold 6,000 worshipers\u2014more than ten times the current cathedral.<\/p>\n

The six-day manifestation dedicated to the consecration of Romania\u2019s National Cathedral will be the main event marking the 1918 Great Union Centennial this year.<\/p>\n
