Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312\/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, as of\u00a029 October 2018, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a set of three coins (made of gold, silver and copper-plated tombac) and a collector coin made of brass to mark\u00a0100 years since the union of Bukovina with Romania.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The coins have the following technical characteristics:<\/p>\n

Obverse of the gold coin:\u00a0the image of the Metropolitan Palace in Cern\u0103u\u021bi, where the union of Bukovina with Romania was voted on 28 November 1918; the inscription \u201cROMANIA\u201d in an arc, the face value \u201c100 LEI\u201d, the coat of arms of Romania and the year of issue \u201c2018\u201d.<\/p>\n

Obverse of the silver coin:\u00a0in the foreground, an image of the building of the National Council in Kishinev where, on 27 March 1918, the union of Bessarabia with Romania was voted, while in the background, an excerpt from the Union Act; the inscription \u201cROMANIA\u201d in an arc, the face value \u201c10 LEI\u201d, the coat of arms of Romania and the year of issue \u201c2018\u201d.<\/p>\n

Reverse (common to all coins made of gold, silver, copper-plated tombac and brass):(made of gold, silver, copper-plated tombac and brass): the depiction of Iancu Flondor and General Iacob Zadik announcing the vote of the union of Bukovina with Romania; the inscriptions \u201c100 DE ANI DE LA UNIREA BUCOVINEI CU ROMANIA\u201d and \u201c28 Noiembrie 1918\u201d.<\/p>\n
