\u2018Profess your faith in deeds,\u2019 Metropolitan Irineu of Oltenia said when he addressed the over four thousand young Christians who gathered in Craiova for the annual Meeting of Orthodox Youth (ITO 2019).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Metropolitan offered Jesus Christ as an example of humility, noting that \u2018when He came to the world, He did not place Himself at the top of the social pyramid.\u2019<\/p>\n

This gesture of supreme love, His Eminence underscored, gives us \u2018the example of perfect meditation and prayer.\u2019<\/p>\n

Joy can be experienced only in communion, he said during the conference held at the Craiova Multipurpose Hall on Friday evening, Sept. 6, 2019.<\/p>\n

In the first part of the day, the young people participated in religious workshops at high schools in the city.<\/p>\n

Topics included the importance of active participation in Divine Services and the improvement of the relationship with others through the participation in the life of the parish.<\/p>\n

The purpose of these talks was to raise awareness of the need for an active presence in the life of the Church.<\/p>\n
