The 10-children Ciobanu family will soon have a new place to live, thanks to the generosity of one Romanian monastery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work on their new home in the village of Ion Neculce began at the end of May and is rapidly nearing completion. The building is covered with a roof and the windows were recently installed. The house is near the village church, reports Doxologia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The initiative belongs to Had\u00e2mbu Monastery in Schitu Had\u00e2mbului, Ia\u015fi County in northeastern Romania.<\/p>\n

\u201cNext is the interior finishes, the installation of the wooden flooring, the purchase of furniture, and other amenities,\u201d said Archimandrite Nicodim Gheorghi\u0163\u0103, the abbot of Had\u00e2mbu, who recently gave all the children a new pair of shoes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want that by the beginning of winter, the children will have a new home in which to enjoy favorable conditions. I chose this family both for the high number of children and for the fact that they are studying very well at school,\u201d Fr. Nicodim said.<\/p>\n

Funds for the project came from donations by pilgrims and the faithful who live near the monastery.<\/p>\n

Those who wish to donate towards the work left to be done can send money to the account RO75 RZBR 0000 0600 0027 9276 opened at Raiffeisen Bank on behalf of Had\u00e2mbu Monastery.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Fr. Petru Gavriloaia built and donated a new home to a family with nine children in Timi\u0219e\u0219ti, Neam\u021b County. Last year, faithful from the northwestern Romanian villages of Paleu and O\u015forhei took up a collection over the course of the previous year to buy a home for a family with 9 children from the nearby village of Parhida.<\/p>\n

Had\u00e2mbu Monastery was built by the Greek cellarer Iani Had\u00e2mbul on land donated by Prince Gheorghe Ghica and was consecrated in 1659. It is located about 19 miles southwest of the city of Ia\u015fi.<\/p>\n

The monastery was left in ruins for many years but was reopened in 1990. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Monuments<\/a>.<\/p>\n
