It is now complete and ready for nuns to settle in,\u201d writes Bishop Neophytos of Nyeri and Mt. Kenya on his\u00a0Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"os\" data-enum=\"p5\" data-field=\" paragraph\">Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, who previously served in Africa, founded a convent in Nyeri in the 1980s but it did not survive after he moved to serve as primate of the Albanian Church, Bp. Neophytos writes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"os\" data-enum=\"p6\" data-field=\" paragraph\">\u201cMany thanks go to Mother Johanna of the Skete of Archangel Michael KS, MO who is the founding nun of this humble monastery,\u201d the hierarch writes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"os\" data-enum=\"p7\" data-field=\" paragraph\">A post on the diocesan Facebook page on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/808557222578751\/permalink\/2002864823147979\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">September 7<\/a>\u00a0notes that Mother Johanna is not living at the monastery, but spent two months in Kenya helping to get it started.<\/p>\n<p class=\"os\" data-enum=\"p8\" data-field=\" paragraph\">As Bp. Neophytos notes, there are two Kenyan nuns in Greece whom he hopes will return some day \u201cand continue to revive the spirit of monasticism in the Diocese of Nyeri and Mt.
