The National Bank of Romania (NBR) put<\/a> into circulation on Tuesday, 3 December 2019, \u00a0for numismatic purposes, a gold coin dedicated to\u00a0\u201cThe History of Gold \u2013 the lei 50 coin bearing the year 1922\u201d\u00a0and a commemorative collector banknote with the face value of lei 100 to mark the anniversary of\u00a0\u201cThe Completion of the Great Union \u2013 Ion I. C. Br\u0103tianu\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0gold coin\u00a0 characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obverse:\u00a0the depiction of the obverse of the Lei 50 gold coin bearing the year 1922, the inscription \u201cROMANIA\u201d, the face value \u201c10 LEI\u201d, the year of issue \u201c2019\u201d and the coat of arms of Romania.<\/p>\n

Reverse: the depiction of the reverse of the Lei 50 gold coin bearing the year 1922 and the inscription \u201cISTORIA AURULUI MONEDA DE 50 LEI 1922\u201d on two lines.<\/p>\n

The banknote characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obverse:\u00a0the following representative graphic elements: to the right, in the foreground, the portrait of Ion I.C. Br\u0103tianu, and, below, his name and birth and death years, namely \u201cION I.C. BR\u0102TIANU 1864-1927\u201d, while in the central part, an image of the Order of Carol I decoration, that Ion I.C. Br\u0103tianu received in 1922. In the background, in the central part, an interior image of the Romanian Athenaeum.<\/p>\n

The reverse of the banknote features a graphic composition: to the left, a vintage image of the former palace of the Assembly of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, currently the Patriarchate Palace and, in the center, an image of the reverse of the Order of Carol I decoration.<\/p>\n
