Its reverse features the seal of the Telegraph Office Roman, Moldova, at the beginning of the 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The postage stamp with the face value of\u00a0Lei 1.90\u00a0graphically depicts the following elements: postal routes from Moldavia, detail from the lithography,\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">Post riders in Moldavia<\/em>, by Raffet (1839) and the seal of the Telegraph Office Roman, in Moldavia, around 1840.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The postage stamp with the face value of\u00a0Lei 20.50\u00a0illustrates the following elements: a post coach and postal routes within Wallachia, along with a detail from the lithography\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">Post Coach Crossing Over the Buzau River,<\/em>\u00a0by Raffet (1839) and the seal of the Posts Office Directorate in Wallachia, around 1840.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The seals illustrated on the stamps are represented on postal documents from the collection of the Museum of Romanian Records.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Photography courtesy of Romfilatelia<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For this year, under the title\u00a0Europa 2020, PostEurop, the body of the Universal Postal Union, a United Nations specialized agency, has chosen the topic \u201eAncient postal routes\u201d, a theme appreciated by collectors.
