Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church donated 2,000 Euros<\/a> for Sara Nukina, a teenager suffering of brain tumour. The girl is well-known to the audience of\u00a0 Radio Trinitas, the radio station of the Romanian Patriarchate, for her generous moral support of the elderly and the ill with her songs and the freshness of her presence. \u201cShe helped as a volunteer so many people, now it is our turn to help Sara,\u201d declared the Patriarch of Romania for Radio Trinitas.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Two weeks ago, Sara was diagnosed with an infiltrative tumour of the brain stem which is inoperable and she needs the best oncological treatment one can get. At present, she managed to check in the AKH Clinic in Vienna, where she was transferred wit great difficulty, given the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.<\/p>\n

Sara Nukina will turn 16 on September 5. She is the daughter of Japanese karate trainer Nukina Nobuyuki, who embraced Orthodox faith. The audience of Radio Trinitas is familiar with her presence at the Joy of Stories programme hosted by Adriana Ene.<\/p>\n

Adriana Ene got involved in the fundraising campaign for her. \u201cIf you were right in front of me, I would kneel before you and implore you to help Sara Nukina,\u201d she wrote on social media. \u201cShe is the wonderful Sara, a fighter who soothed with her voice so many children, the elderly, the ill and afflicted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith her beautiful voice and her story-telling gift which comforts hearts, Sara Nukina participated in the concerts of the Tronos Choir, visited retirement homes and children oncology hospitals with the Volunteers of the National Cathedral, sang to the destitute, the ill, the needy,\u201d the radio host added.<\/p>\n

The teenager has already gone through an emergency surgical intervention. The next steps are radiotherapy and oncological treatment, for which the family needs to raise funds. Only for the first stage of the treatment they need to raise 50,000 Euros.<\/p>\n
