Romfilatelia<\/em>\u00a0introduces<\/a> into circulation, on\u00a0Tuesday, June 22nd<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0this year, the postage stamps issue entitled \u201c<\/em>Tudor Vladimirescu\u2019s Revolution, 200 Years<\/em>\u201d,<\/em> dedicated to a historical moment and an exceptional personality: the Revolution of 1821 and its leader, Tudor Vladimirescu.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The postage stamps issue\u00a0Tudor Vladimirescu\u2019s Revolution, 200 Years<\/em>, consisting of a stamp, a perforated souvenir sheet, a special anniversary block and a \u201cFirst Day\u201d Cover, is part of a series of projects designed to pay tribute to the hero and celebrate the\u00a0Year of Tudor Vladimirescu<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The stamp with the face value of\u00a0Lei 9.00\u00a0reproduces the portrait of Tudor Vladimirescu, after an engraving by Theodor Aman.<\/p>\n

The composition of the perforated souvenir sheet reproduces the following elements:\u00a0Tudor Vladimirescu<\/em>, engraving by Theodor Aman, and a print from the 19th<\/sup>\u00a0century, which illustrates the\u00a0Pandurs Troops led by Tudor Vladimirescu crossing the Olt River on March 10th<\/sup>, 1821<\/em>. On the stamp of the souvenir sheet, with the face value of\u00a0Lei 31.50, is illustrated the portrait of Tudor Vladimirescu, after a lithograph from the 19th<\/sup>\u00a0century.<\/p>\n

On the \u201cFirst Day\u201d Cover of the issue is depicted Tudor Vladimirescu, a reproduction after an oil painting, made by Theodor Aman, considered the most famous portrait of the hero.<\/p>\n

The graphic artworks illustrated in this postage stamps issue are part of the patrimony of the Museum of Bucharest.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The postage stamps issue \u201c<\/em>Tudor Vladimirescu\u2019s Revolution, 200 Years<\/em>\u201d<\/em> will be available on\u00a0Tuesday, June 22nd<\/sup>\u00a02021, in\u00a0Romfilatelia\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0shops\u00a0network in Bucharest, Bacau, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Timisoara and online<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n
