Last Sunday, the anniversary was marked during a festive Divine Liturgy celebrated by Metropolitan Iosif of Western and Southern Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these years have been a time of patience for the church because only this year was it possible to obtain its place of worship,\u201d His Eminence Metropolitan Iosif said during his sermon on November 28, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we must not forget,\u201d the Romanian Metropolitan continued, \u201cthat when you have a priest, you have a Church &#8211; even if you do not have a church built. The church is not made of stones, clay bricks, but the living stones that are we, that are you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the Divine Liturgy, the Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe ordained Radu Amariei to the diaconate on behalf of Luton Parish. He also appointed Father Cosmin Mure\u0219an a spiritual father.<\/p>\n<p>The parish priest Ioan Nazarcu thanked the Metropolitan for the service and urged everyone to pursuit Christ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe Orthodox Christians must share Christ with a world that is moving further and further away from Him, sinking into so much pain and turmoil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the only way out, as Saint Sophrony of Essex teaches us, is to find in us the wisdom, the determination not to live by the ideas of this world, but to follow Christ. So let us follow Him not from the outside, but the inside,\u201d the parish priest urged.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the vicinity of London, the city of Luton is locally recognized for its religious diversity.
