{"id":374828,"date":"2022-06-05T12:11:16","date_gmt":"2022-06-05T09:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=374828"},"modified":"2022-06-05T12:11:16","modified_gmt":"2022-06-05T09:11:16","slug":"world-environment-day-on-5-june-only-one-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.basilica.ro\/en\/world-environment-day-on-5-june-only-one-earth\/","title":{"rendered":"World Environment Day on 5 June: \u201cOnly one Earth\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>World Environment Day (also called as WED) has been started celebrating as an annual event on every 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of June since 1973 in order to raise the global awareness about the importance of the healthy and green environment in the human lives, to solve the environmental issues by implementing some positive environmental actions as well as to make aware common public worldwide that everyone is responsible for saving his environment and not only somebody, government or organizations working for it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>World environment day was first established to be celebrated every year by running some effective campaigns by the United Nations General Assembly and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the conference on Human Environment began from 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of June at United Nations in 1972.<\/p>\n<p>2022 is a historic milestone as it marks 50 years since the 1972 Stockholm Conference. With Sweden as the host country, the slogan for World Environment day 2022 is \u201cOnly One Earth\u201d, which focuses on living\u00a0sustainably in harmony\u00a0with nature.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the objectives of the world environment day campaign are mentioned below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is celebrated to make aware the common public about the environmental issues.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage common people from different societies and communities to actively participate in the celebration as well as become an active agent in developing environmental safety measures.<\/li>\n<li>Let them know that community people are very essential to inhibit negative changes towards the environmental issues.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage people to make their nearby surroundings safe and clean to enjoy safer, cleaner and more prosperous future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF;
