The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church met for a working session at “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace, under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Holy Synod elected<\/a> by secret ballot the patriarchal auxiliary bishop Ieronim of Sinaia as Bishop of Dacia Felix. This episcopal see became vacant on February 17, 2022, after the transfer<\/a> of His Grace Bishop Daniil Stoenescu to the position of assistant bishop to the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara, bearing the title of Bishop of Densu\u0219.<\/p>\n

The Diocese of Dacia Felix is a diocese of the Romanian Orthodox Church, with its headquarters in Vr\u0161ac, which has jurisdiction over the Romanian Orthodox communities in Serbia and is directly subordinated to the Romanian Patriarchate. The Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Vr\u0161ac\u00a0operates as a diocesan cathedral.<\/p>\n
