{"id":404231,"date":"2022-11-29T14:25:35","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T12:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=404231"},"modified":"2022-11-29T14:25:35","modified_gmt":"2022-11-29T12:25:35","slug":"romanias-central-bank-issues-coin-marking-kretzulescu-churchs-300th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.basilica.ro\/en\/romanias-central-bank-issues-coin-marking-kretzulescu-churchs-300th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Romania\u2019s central bank issues coin marking Kretzulescu Church\u2019s 300th anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Romanian National Bank (BNR) has issued a gold coin to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the building of Kretzulescu Church in Bucharest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The obverse of the coin features Bucharest&#8217;s Kretzulescu Church, the year of issue &#8220;2022,&#8221; the coat of arms of Romania, the denomination &#8220;100 LEI,&#8221; and the word &#8220;ROMANIA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On the coin&#8217;s reverse is a Kretzulescu Church architectural feature with the words &#8220;BISERICA KRETZULESCU&#8221; and &#8220;300 ANI.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The gold coins, encased in transparent plastic capsules, will be accompanied by brochures, including a description of the numismatic issue and authenticity certifications in Romanian, English, and French.<\/p>\n<p>Each certificate of authenticity carries the signatures of the National Bank of Romania&#8217;s Governor and Chief Cashier.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum mintage of gold coins is one thousand.<\/p>\n<p>VAT is not included in the price of 2,900.00 RON for the gold coin, which includes the booklet and the certificate of authenticity.<\/p>\n<p>The gold coins commemorating the 300th anniversary of the building of Kretzulescu Church in Bucharest are legal currency in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>The coins will circulate via the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constan\u021ba, Craiova, Ia\u0219i, and Timi\u0219oara for numismatic reasons.<\/p>\n<p>In the website&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnr.ro\/Numismatica-1164.aspx\">Numismatics section<\/a>, the National Bank of Romania provides details on how to acquire the coins.<\/p>\n<p>Photography courtesy of BNR<\/p>\n<p>Follow us on Twitter: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/basilicanews\">@BasilicaNews<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Romanian National Bank (BNR) has issued a gold coin to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the building of Kretzulescu Church in Bucharest.
