{"id":420211,"date":"2023-03-23T14:34:06","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T12:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=420211"},"modified":"2023-03-23T14:34:06","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T12:34:06","slug":"chisinau-sts-peter-and-paul-church-to-become-metropolitan-cathedral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.basilica.ro\/en\/chisinau-sts-peter-and-paul-church-to-become-metropolitan-cathedral\/","title":{"rendered":"Chi\u0219in\u0103u Sts Peter &#038; Paul Church to become a metropolitan cathedral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The \u201cHoly Apostles Peter and Paul\u201d parish church in Chi\u0219in\u0103u\u2019s Buiucanii Noi district will be elevated to the rank of Metropolitan Cathedral for the Metropolis of Bessarabia after completing the painting and landscaping works.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Friday, March 17, 2023, Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia visited the church with His Excellency Cristian-Leon \u021aurcanu, the Romanian Ambassador to Chi\u0219in\u0103u.<\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan and the Ambassador discussed with the parish priest Petru Buburuz the current needs for completing construction works and the arrangement of the inner courtyard and the church\u2019s social centre.<\/p>\n<p>The website of the Metropolis of Bessarabia reported that the parish is experiencing financial difficulties in carrying out the works.
