Following the initiative and blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the Theological Educational Department of the Romanian Patriarchate organised from 15 November 2012 – 14 May 2013, the National Contest entitled “Father Dumitru St\u0103niloae – 110 years since his birth and 20 since his passing away” within the manifestations occasioned by the Commemorative year of “Father Dumitru St\u0103niloae” in the Romanian Patriarchate.<\/p>\n
The winners of the contest and the professors who prepared them were awarded today, 21 May 2013, by the Patriarch of Romania. The awarding ceremony took place on the esplanade of the Patriarchal Cathedral, after the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.<\/p>\n
The Contest was held in two sections:<\/p>\n
Section A – Seminaries and Orthodox Theological High Schools and <\/p>\n
Section B – Faculties of Orthodox Theology<\/p>\n
In the final stage of the contest the following winners were awarded prizes by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel:<\/p>\n
I. Pre-university level:<\/p>\n
Prize I – Vlaicu Eusebiu Damian, Neagoe Vod\u0103 Basarab” Orthodox Seminary of Curtea de Arges;<\/p>\n
Prize II – Iosub Cristian, “Bishop Melchisedec” OrthodoxTheological High School of Roman;<\/p>\n
Prize III – R\u0103dulescu Petru-Mihai, Saint Nicodim Orthodox Theological High School of T\u00e2rgu Jiu; <\/p>\n
II. University level: <\/p>\n
Prize I – Muntean Nicolae, Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Cluj-Napoca <\/p>\n
Prize II – \u021au\u021buroi Cristian, Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Arad <\/p>\n
Prize III – Apintiliesei Ciprian-Cosmin, “Patriarch Justinian” Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Bucharest<\/p>\n
The Contest was held in three stages: eparchial stage, metropolitan stage, and national stage.<\/p>\n
The prizes of the winners consisted in money and books by Father Dumitru St\u0103niloae. 12 competitors participated in the national stage: 6 pupils from Orthodox theological seminaries and high schools and 6 theological students from the faculties of Orthodox theology of the country. <\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
