Today, 4 July 2013, a Te Deum service was celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Bucharest, in the presence of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church and of the members of the Romanian Orthodox Church, to open with the working session of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church. <\/p>\n
The religious service was celebrated at 09.30 hours, by His Grace Macarie, Romanian Orthodox Bishop for Northern Europe, assisted by a group of priests and deacons. The Te Deum service was preceded by the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Grace too. <\/p>\n
The Holy Synod is the highest authority of the Romanian Orthodox Church in all her fields of activity. The Holy Synod is made up the Patriarch, all metropolitans, archbishops, eparchial bishops, assistant bishops to the Patriarch, assistant hierarchs and vicar hierarchs employed.
