August 2003 – Priest and theology professor CONSTANTIN GALERIU passed <\/p>\n
away in Bucharest. Theological studies at “Saint George” Seminary of <\/p>\n
Roman (1930 – 1935), continued at the Faculty of Theology of Bucharest <\/p>\n
(1938 – 1942). In 1973 he was awarded the title of doctor in theology in<\/p>\n
Bucharest. From 1973 – 1988, he climbed the steps of the university <\/p>\n
education (reader, lecturer and professor) within the Theological <\/p>\n
Institute \/Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Bucharest, for: Basic <\/p>\n
Theology, History of Religions, Catechetics with notions of Pedagogy and<\/p>\n
Homiletics. From 1988 – 2003, he continued to work as counsellor <\/p>\n
professor and supervisor for doctorate thesis within the same Faculty. <\/p>\n
He served as priest in the county of Prahova (1943 – 1973) and in <\/p>\n
Bucharest, at “Saint Silvestru” church (1975 – 2003); member of the <\/p>\n
Commission for Orthodox – Reformed Dialogue on behalf of our Church, <\/p>\n
vicar to the Archdiocese of Bucharest (since 1900). He was a political <\/p>\n
prisoner from August 1952 – October 1953. <\/p>\n
