His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church addressed the following message to the participants in the International Ecumenical Conference of Orthodox Spirituality held at Bose Monastery from 4 – 7 September 2013:<\/p>\n
Dear participants,<\/p>\n
We address with joy to the participants in the 21st International Ecumenical Conference on Orthodox Spirituality,<\/em> held between 4-7 September 2013, at the monastery led by Father Enzo Bianchi.<\/p>\n The theme of the congress, The Age of Spiritual Life<\/em>, is a major concern for the pastoral-missionary activity of the Church today, with a deep spiritual meaning, in a society increasingly fragmented and secularized. Therefore, human beings need spiritual healing and existential communion in order to understand the ultimate meaning of life, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ <\/em>(Ephesians 4:13).<\/p>\n In this context, we must rediscover the importance of spiritual life, of social cooperation, and especially the common confession of the Gospel of Christ’s love for His Church and for all people.<\/p>\n We congratulate the organizers of this congress and all the participants in its works and wish them fruitful results.<\/p>\n With blessings,<\/p>\n \u00e2\u20ac DANIEL<\/p>\n Patriarch of Romania<\/p>\n ***<\/p>\n Il messaggio di Sua Beatitudine Daniel, ai partecipanti della XXI Conferenza ecumenica internazionale di spiritualit\u00c3 ortodossa, monastero Bose, Italia, 4-7 settembre 2013:<\/p>\n Carissimi partecipanti,<\/p>\n Con grande gioia ci rivolgiamo ai partecipanti alla XXI Conferenza ecumenica internazionale di spiritualit\u00c3 ortodossa, tenutasi tra il 4-7 settembre, del monastero guidato dal Padre Enzo Bianchi.<\/p>\n Il tema del Congresso, L’et\u00c3 della vita spirituale,<\/em> e d’un maggiore interesse per l’attivit\u00c3 pastorale – missionaria della Chiesa, oggi, con un profondo significato spirituale, in una societ\u00c3 sempre di pi\u00c3\u00b9 frammentata e secolarizzata.
