Following the initiative and blessing of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, from 2 – 5 October 2013, the International Congress of Theology entitled Reception of the work of Father Dumitru Staniloae will be held in Bucharest. <\/p>\n
This manifestation is organised by the Theological – Educational Department of the Patriarchal Administration and by “Patriarch Justinian” Faculty of Orthodox Theology, with the support of the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs. The event will take place at the Patriarchate Palace of Bucharest.<\/p>\n
The Congress will benefit of the participation of hierarchs and theology professors from the country and abroad (Germany, France, United States of America, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Serbia) who know and promote the theology of Father Dumitru Staniloae, in the countries they come from. <\/p>\n
The Congress will analyse the following themes: <\/p>\n
1.Reception of the work of Father Dumitru Staniloae in the academic theology, in the country and abroad;<\/p>\n
2.Reception of the work of Father Dumitru Staniloae in the monastic life and spirituality;<\/p>\n
3.Reception of the work of Father Dumitru Staniloae in the lay culture.<\/p>\n
Thursday, 3 October 2013, 9.30 hours, the festive opening session of the Congress will take place in “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna of the Patriarchate Palace. The same day, at 11.30, the exhibition entitled Work of Father Staniloae, organised by the Holy Synod Library, will be opened in Europa Christiana hall.<\/p>\n
