11 March 1898 \u2013 MIHAI BUXACU was born in L\u0103pu\u0219ata, county of V\u00e2lcea. He was a priest and a pedagogue. Graduate of the Seminary of “Saint Nicholas\u201d in R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea city (1919) and of the Faculty of Theology of Bucharest (licentiate in 1924). He got the title of doctor in Theology (1928); specialization courses in Pedagogy, Catechize and Homily at the Faculty of Catholic and Protestant Theology in Strasbourg (1924 \u2013 1926). He was the director of the Diocese of R\u00e2mnic Office, cathedral priest and substitute teacher at the Seminary of “St. Nicholas\u201d (1923 \u2013 1924), professor of Practical Theology at the Theological Academy of Oradea (1926 \u2013 1929); in parallel priest at the Episcopal Cathedral (1927 \u2013 1029) and cultural counselor also in Oradea (1928 \u2013 1929); priest at the church of “Saint Elelfterie\u201d of Bucharest (from 1929 till 1985), cultural counselor to the Archdiocese of Bucharest (1933 \u2013 1939); Religion professor at the University Pedagogical Seminary of Bucharest (1930 \u2013 1938 and 1942 \u2013 1944), docent at the Faculty of Theology of Bucharest for Catechetic and Homily (1936 \u2013 1938), lecturer at the same disciplines (1938 \u2013 1940 and 1942 \u2013 1946), subordinate professor of Catechetic (1946 \u2013 1948), then titular professor of Catechetic and Religious Pedagogy at the University Theological Institute of Bucharest (1948 \u2013 1952); since 1952 he remained only parish priest at the church of “Saint Elefterie\u201d, built by his own efforts.<\/p>\n
Works: Catechetic Patristic School as orientation basis for the present catechetic school. Introductory study into the Orthodox Catechize (1928), Bible Exegetic Homily. Homiletic (1929); Christian Orthodox Conscience according to the Catechize of Saint Chirii, Archbishop of Jerusalem.<\/p>\n
