12 March 1913 – Priest writer ALEXANDRU BARDIERU was born in Nesfoaia, county of Hotin. Studies at the Theological Seminary (1953) and at the Faculty of Theology of Chișinău (graduated in 1989), at the University Pedagogical Seminary of Cernăuți (1942 – 1943), with capacity examination for Religion in 1946. Archpriest in Boroaia (1949-1951), Religion professor at Corabia and Fălticeni (1944-1948), iconom stavrofor (1953), parish priest in Horcaia (1949 – 1980), Broșoiuți Dorohoi (1960 – 1971) and the church of “Saint Dumitru” of Botoșani (since 1971). He published moralizing works, literature for children, articles in the press of the time. He passed away on 22 September 1994, in Botoșani.
