The Patriarch of Romania met the representatives of the administrative departments of the country

Today, 19 April 2013, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, met the eparchial administrative vicars, administrative counsellors, and church inspectors of the Romanian Patriarchate, in Europa Christiana hall of the Patriarchate Palace.

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel delivered a speech in which he spoke about the responsibility the counsellors have in an eparchy: “Much correctitude, collaboration and consultation is needed. Thus, co-responsibility and consultation help us strengthen the ecclesiastic conscience, love the eparchy more, take interest in what other eparchies do, see if they have more success than we, if we can learn from the others or if we can provide them our positive example”.

“The spiritual thought must not be limited to the services in the church, but extended to the administrative activity too. When the administrative activity is based on correctitude the priests feel encouraged too. When the decisions of the eparchial centre are right and correct, the priests feel encouraged. When the decisions of the eparchial centre are right and correct values are promoted. The second priority must be the solidarity among various departments and cooperation. The administrative department must always urge the other departments to cooperate, inform, know the state of a parish very well, and have the file of every eparchy and priest. Thus, when somebody working in the church construction of social field goes to a parish, the church administrative department must provide him with the file and know exactly what material and spiritual potential the respective parish has, what training the parish priest and servant priest have”, His Beatitude also said.

These days, the administrative vicars and counsellors, as well as the church inspectors participated in the regional workshop entitled “Responsibility and Involvement” organised within the FORTE Project in Bucharest. During the workshop they also discussed about the involvement and implementation of the decisions of the Holy Synod and of the church regulations – informs Trinitas Radio station.

To end with the meeting, the representatives of the administrative eparchies of the country received presents on behalf of the Patriarch of Romania.
