The relics of the Three Holy Hierarchs will be brought to Bucharest on the feast of St Pious Demetrius the New – 2015

On the occasion of the pilgrimage organized this year (23-28 October 2015) on the feast of St Pious Demetrius the New, Protector of Bucharest, the reliquary containing fragments of the relics of the Three Holy Hierarchs: St Basil the Great, St Gregory the Theologian and St John Chrysostom, which is sheltered in St Paul Monastery in Holy Mount Athos, will be brought to the Patriarchal Cathedral by a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Greece, led by His Eminence Pavlos, Metropolitan of Drama.

The relics of the Three Holy Hierarchs will be placed together with the relics of St Pious Demetrius the New, Protector of Bucharest, and of Sts Constantine and Helen within the new baldachin located on the Hill of the Metropolis, in order to be venerated by pilgrims.
