We all have participated at a dinner of thanksgiving offered by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel to the group of volunteers of the Parekklesion of the Romanian People’s Salvation Cathedral: doctors, medical assistants, organisers, and other volunteers. They were all involved in the three representative campaigns that have been organised during this autumn by the Romanian Orthodox Church. By the campaign «Health for villages», a pilot project carried out following the collaboration protocol signed between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Ministry of Health, we succeeded to reach 11 different locations within the Archbishopric of Bucharest, distant villages or villages nearby Bucharest.

This campaign aimed at offering help to homebound patients, without health insurance or to persons with different health problems who do not have access to medical services in their villages. Another group of volunteers also present today, was represented by the volunteers of the Campaign «Donate blood!, save a life!». The volunteers who have helped the victims of the accident which took place at the Collective Club are also present here today. They have looked for the victims in hospitals, supported them, and managed to help their families.
